After seeing this woman's work (and knowing about her life), I am so glad I went. If you haven't clicked through to her website already (which I highly recommend), a little background: she has traveled all over the world (with just her backpack and tent), and really engulfs herself in different cultures and tribes. It was so fascinating hearing her tell about the people she's met and all that she has learned from them.
I was so touched by the life her photographs take on, that I had to buy one for myself:I hope she doesn't mind that I borrowed it from her website.
My mom told me a little about her life and although I don't feel it is mine to share, I will say she has had some bumps in her road that most people wouldn't come back from. But you would never know it by talking to her. She has a lust for life and is living hers to the fullest. I walked out admiring her. Truth be told, I'm a little envious.
